Power for the 2023 Sierra 1500

There is a ton of power to be had with each trim level of the 2023 Sierra 1500, and no matter which one you choose, you are assured a ton of horsepower and torque. The base engine is a turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder that kicks out 310 horsepower and 348 lb-ft of torque. An optional engine on the first few trims is a 5.3-liter V8 that delivers an exceptional 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. The next trim, known as the SLE, uses a turbocharged 3.0-inline six-cylinder diesel engine that produces 277 horses and 460 lb-ft of torque. Finally, those who want one of the higher trims will be treated to an exceptional 6.2-liter V8 which rips out 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. For those who have the four-cylinder or 5.3-liter V8, then the Sierra will have an eight-speed automatic transmission, while a ten-speed automatic will be standard for the four-wheel-drive 5.3-liter V8 and the diesel engine. Rear-wheel-drive is standard on most trims of the GMC Sierra, while four-wheel drive is available for those who want a bit of traction when they travel on those bad weather days or when you head off-road.

Features of the 2023 Sierra 1500

There are a whopping eight trim levels available for the 2023 Sierra 1500, and each one provides drivers and passengers with a ton of luxury, tech, and performance items that will make your driving experience even better. The base trim is known as the Pro, and it's one of the best base trims ever created as it comes with 17-inch steel wheels, LED headlights with automatic high beams, chrome bumpers, heated exterior mirrors, remote keyless entry, and a tilt-only steering wheel. More luxury equipment is also available, such as vinyl floor coverings, cloth or vinyl upholstery, and a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The next trim is the SLE which adds to the Pro with items such as remote keyless entry and an upgraded 8-inch touchscreen, along with several options, including a bed-camera system that combines a cargo-box camera and provisions for two additional trailer-mounted cameras. More advanced features are available with the Elevation trim, as it has a remote-locking tailgate, LED foglights, and two USB ports in the back seat. The most performance items are available on higher trims as you get a locking rear differential, a MultiPro configurable tailgate, dual-zone climate control, and some luxury features such as a trailer brake controller, heated-and-ventilated front seats, and heated second-row seats. If you want to head off the road, the AT4 is made for you as it has a 2-inch suspension lift, standard four-wheel drive with a two-speed transfer case, and skid plates.

Safety Features for the Sierra 1500
